John Barnes
Pastor
John and Beth Barnes are native Tennesseans and accepted the pastorate of LFA in
2003. The Barnes will celebrate their 35th wedding anniversary and 30
years of pastoral ministry in 2010. They have two grown children, John and
Christi, a wonderful son-in-law, Chad, and two grandchildren, Sydney Alyse and
Brendan Luke.
Brother John ministers with a teacher's heart and an evangelist's fire. He
also has an excellent singing voice and leads the worship. Beth gives lots
of support by singing in the praise team and guiding many of the church's
ministries. Both are "people persons" with vision for great things in
Lafayette.
David Spears
Assistant Pastor
David Spears joined our team in 2004. An experienced musician and energetic
servant, David is a great compliment to Pastor's vision. Whether filling the
pulpit or assisting the kids, David loves the opportunity to serve and work for
the Lord.
Sharon Spears
Youth Director
Sharon Spears came aboard in 2004 to work with our young people.Capable and
energetic, she loves youth ministry and the youth love her. Our young people
meet each Sunday at 6 p.m. In addition to obvious fellowship, the youth are
taken into real worship and a presentation of the Word. Throughout the year, the
group will have any number of activities, camp experiences, conferences and
trips to meet their social and spiritual needs.

Nancy Peipher
Nancy's ministry will be keeping our congregation in touch with our
missionaries on the field.
